Description

Three Signed & 1st E.D. Presidential Books.

“Living Faith” (1998) by Jimmy Carter signed and 1st edition. Fine condition with slight wear on corners of books and bold signature “J Carter.” 5.5” x 8.25”.

Jimmy Carter was the 39th President of the United States from 1977 to 1981. In Living Faith, he draws on this experience, exploring the values closest to his heart and the personal beliefs that have nurtured and sustained him. For President Carter, faith finds its deepest expression in a life of compassion, reconciliation, and service to others. Living Faith is filled with stories of people whose lives have touched his--some from the world stage, more from modest walks of life.

“The Challenge to Liberty” (1934) by Herbert Hoover. Signed and 1st edition. Near fine/fine condition with wear on the cover slip and writing on the first two pages, and bold signature. 6” x 8”

Herbert Hoover was the 31st president of the United States from 1929 to 1933. After losing the presidential election in 1932 to Franklin Roosevelt, Herbert Hoover went into exile in the political wilderness, far from the public eye. From this vantage, Hoover watched the development of the New Deal. Hoover made a series of speeches attacking the New Deal, explaining the threat to American individualism that it presented. In 1934 he wrote the book, The Challenge to Liberty, to present his reaction to the New Deal.

“The Memoirs of Richard Nixon” (1978) by Richard Nixon. Signed and first edition. very good condition with slight water staining and wear on the cover with a bold signature. 9.5" x 7"

Richard Nixon was the 37th president of the United States, serving from 1969 to 1974. Before him, only six men who have held the office wrote comprehensive memoirs. Former President Richard Nixon’s bestselling autobiography is an intensely personal examination of his life, public career, and White House years. With startling candor, Nixon reveals his beliefs, doubts, and behind-the-scenes decisions and sheds new light on his landmark diplomatic initiatives, political campaigns, and historic decision to resign from the presidency.
