This very unusual and stylish mid-century designer ring was likely made around the 1930/40s and features a large elongated textured oval shape with the (partial) depiction of a famous ancient Egyptian scene "Akhenaten offering a sacrifice to the sun god Aten". It shows Pharaoh Akhenaten, who was famous for his unusual facial features, his beautiful wife Nefertiti, and his unusual dedication to the sun god Aten. He is widely credited for being the first ruler to introduce a monotheistic religion. His son Tutankhamun is not less famous...Very good vintage condition. This massive piece is a size 7.75. measures approx. 1 3/4" long x 1" wide, and weighs ca. 17.5 grams. Marked "14K" and tested for 14K gold.
