Description
A fine ca. 1792 Chippendale carved cherry secretary, a dentil carved pediment top with three carved cherry flame finials, scalloped panel doors flanked with fluted pilasters, a slant lid with a fine interior arched carved prospect door and fan carved interior drawer, above four graduated drawers retaining original large size plate brass, all resting on carved claw and ball feet. With documentation denoting that this piece was made in 1792 by Capt. Amasa Howard of West Bridgewater MA for Eliakin Howard, (see literature that accompanies this lot), 91.5”H x lower case 41”W x 20”D. Provenance: Purchased from R. Jorgenson Antiques Maine.

Older refinish, minor repairs.
