Description
An antique French 19th century sterling silver porringer or wine tester. The porringer is adorned with a French 1803 medal, Napoleon - Establishment of the French Academy of the Fine Arts at Rome by Nicolas-Pierre Tiolier. The obverse shows a laureate head of Napoleon above a star to right a fulmen Features a pierced side handle. On the reverse there is a view of the buildings of the Academy, wolf and twins in exergue.
