Two Tibeto-Chinese Buddhist Thangka
18th century or earlier
Both pigment on woven ground. One thangka centering the Amitabha Buddha with surrounding Buddha; including White Tara, Green Tara, Shadakshari Lokeshvara, Ushnishavijaya, and Mahakala. The other thangka centering the Amitabha Buddha with smaller surrounding Amitabha Buddha. Both framed. (2).
H: 16 7/8, W: 11 1/2 in.
H: 42.86, W: 29.21 cm. (sight, each)
Provenance: Mr. Stewart, Vienna, Virginia. A family inheritance.
