Description
Japanese Arita Porcelain Bowl is Kakimon-style,created created in the late 19th century for export, is decorated on the interior with a lady seated on a bale of grass while smoking a pipe. The color on the leaves indicate that is a fall season. The figure and tree are painted with cobalt blue and overglaze red enamel with gold outlines. The bowl's exterior is decorated with a blue vine and stylized peonies. An open-work band decorates the rim. Signed on base: Zo Shun Tei Hisa Tomi Seisu and Nippon Hizen Arita.
