Japanese Carved and Matched Wood Tobacco Case (Tonkutsu) and Pipe Case (Kiseruzutsu), Meiji Period, squared form with bombe sides carved with dwellings in a mountain landscape, a scholar contemplating under bamboo and a group of objects, the circular top carved with a flower, with a carved openwork ojime, with various inscriptions, the pipe case carved with a flower. Signed to base of tobacco case.
