Japanese Celadon Shi-shi Sculpture: Makuzu Kozan II, probably late 19th-early 20th century in date, is created of molded porcelain and glazed with a blue-green celadon glaze. The eyes are accented with a beige color. The okimono is very decorative with swirls of the mane and tail emphasized by raised swirls on the lion. The sculpture is stamped with the artist's seal. The sculpture comes with a tomobako that is inscribed on the lid.
