STERLING: Fourteen sterling silver service plates by Graff Washbourne & Dunn, New York, N.Y., (1899-1961, successors of Wood & Hughes), Belle Epoque style pattern patented in 1909, retailed by J. E. Caldwell & Co., features wide reticulated rim with pierced vertical scrolls, foliate swags, floral urns in medallions and scrolling acanthus leaf shaped rim, inner rim to center well chased with elaborate floral scroll design, ten plates with maker's mark (diamond-quatrefoil-diamond) on base, all fourteen additionally stamped "patented 18-25-1909", "Sterling 11 1/2 In", "2925/47" and with retailer's mark "J. E. Caldwell & Co.", all monogrammed at center and with wear consistent with age and use including scratches to center, 11 3/8" diam. [Total Weight: 279.5 ozt. tw.] *NOTE: Lots 87 to 93 part of a set.
