VIRGINIA CHIPPENDALE WALNUT MINIATURE BLANKET CHEST, dovetailed case, the hinged lid with original brass hinges and applied edge molding over a dovetailed case, raised on an applied cut-out bracket-foot base of unusual profile. Yellow pine secondary wood. Retaining an outstanding, dry, original surface with rich color. Late 18th/early 19th century. 9" H, 14 5/8" W, 8 1/4" D.

Condition

Very good overall condition with minor loss to lid molding at center.
