Published by the Appollo Association for the Promotion of the Fine Arts in the U.S., printed by J. Dalton. General Revolutionary War hero Francis Marion (1732-1795) of South Carolinay, known as 'the Swamp Fox', celebrated for harassment of the British Troops as well as his personal graciousness, here meets to discuss prisoner exchange with an enemy officer, and invites him to a dinner of sweet potatoes.
