Description

Sixth plate housed in a thermoplastic wall frame, the brass mat stamped "Barnaby, Dayton." The image depicts a half-smiling young woman wearing a satin dress and lacy cloves. S.B. Barnaby moved from Massachusetts in 1845, and not long afterward opened a daguerreian studio. He operated in that city from 1846-1857.
