Best of Show winner at the 1996 Texas Sculpture Associationâ€™s National Show. "Bison IV" by Denton, Texas sculptor Jerry Daniel, is a one-of-a-kind, accurate figurative model of the king of the plains. The medium is a welded steel frame with black steel wire that lays perfectly around the beastâ€™s shoulders, representing the animalâ€™s shaggy ebony mane.

PROVENANCE
Private Collection, Bartonville, Texas

Condition

The sculpture appears to be in good condition with no damage or evidence of restoration. The surface of the sculpture has a dark black/brown patina that has lighted in some areas. The wood base has some fading to the finish.
