Description
The fine English George II bachelor's chest with original molded quarter panel inlaid top, the case fitted with brush & slide above four exceptional finely figured walnut 1/4 paneled veneers drawer fronts resting on bracket feet. A very pleasing bachelor's chest with great patination. Height 31 1/2" Width 33" Depth 19" Provenance: Mr. William C. Robinson Jr was master of foxhounds at the Sewickley Hunt Club and also was owner of the horse farms: "Far Away Farm" Sewickley PA and "Lanes End" in Versailles Kentucky. His wife Mary Laughlin Robinson was also an accomplished equestrian.
