Oil on canvas. A charming portrait of three children, or of a mother and offspring in typical mid-19th century costume and hairstyles. Two of the figures are clad in black clothing while the girl on the left side is dressed in blue and holds some flowers. All of the faces of the family members are highlighted in skin tones above medium brown hair. A red shawl, brass buttons, and lace provide additional interest to the portrait. Sight: 29.5" x 24.25".
