Brass hilt with slotted counter-guard and knuckle bow connecting to a molded lion's head pommel and spiral-cast grip; curved single-edge blade with false edge at the tip and single wide fuller, the blade etched on both sides with an eagle and 'AMERICAN LIGHT HORSE,' the back of the blade marked 'WILHELM.TESCHE.PETERS.SOHN.IN.SOLINGEN.FECIT.'
Blade lg. 35 3/8, overall lg. 40 3/4 in.

Condition

Hilt toned to yellow and has scattered minor dings and dents; blade is toned to light gray and has areas of darker gray mottling generally associated with light pitting.
