American Horseman's Saber,
late 18th century.
Iron hilt, narrow counter-guard with scrolling quillon, tapering knuckle bow connected to a flat pommel with backstrap, leather covered wood grip with twisted brass wire wrapping; curved single-edge blade with false edge at the tip and no fuller.
Blade lg. 32 1/2, overall lg. 37 3/4 in.

Condition
Hilt tone to brown, leather grip wrapping is approx. 50% intact, twisted brass wire is secure; blade has overall gray mottling, tip is blunt, blade edge has some shallow dings.
