Jeremiah Snow-Attributed Horseman's Saber and Scabbard,
Springfield, Massachusetts, late 18th century.
Brass hilt with branch on outer side of counter-guard, plain knuckle bow connecting to an urn-form pommel, cherry grip with twisted brass wire wrapping; curved single-edge blade with false edge at the tip and three narrow fullers, the upper third of the blade blued and with trace of a decorative oval device on each side; black leather scabbard with tooled line decoration and brass tip.

Condition
Hilt toned to yellow and occasional spots of verdigris, grip has old surface and a small chip at the bottom edge of the left side, hilt has a little movement on the blade tang; blade has gray mottling, bluing is thinning toward the hilt; scabbard has areas of surface loss but is stable overall.
