Meyer Lansky PSA Type I Photo. Fantastic Colors and Sharpness!
A vintage color photograph showing mobster Meyer Lansky (1902-1983) posing, possibly in his living room, while smiling and holding his glasses in front of the television set. The snapshot is printed on Kodak photo paper ca. 1960s. Encapsulated and PSA/DNA certified authentic. Expected wear commensurate with age including yellowing, and filing notes in pen and pencil on verso. The photograph measures 8" x 10" while the slab measures 13.25" x 9.75."
Meyer Lansky was one of the most influential figures of the twentieth-century American criminal underworld. He was particularly well-connected through friendships and close partnerships with contemporaries Lucky Luciano and Bugsy Siegel. Lansky revolutionized the illegal gambling industry by working smarter; the so-called "Mob's Accountant" applied a scientific method of risk-reward, and mitigated loss through payoffs and international money laundering.
This item comes with a Certificate from John Reznikoff, a premier authenticator for both major 3rd party authentication services, PSA and JSA (James Spence Authentications), as well as numerous auction houses.
