19th/20th century, comprising: cabinet vase with birds and marsh scene, urn form vase in crackle glaze, enamel and gilt decoration, impressed four character mark to base, 7-1/4 x 5-1/4 in.; studio pottery vase in brownish red glaze, with silver overlay enamel phoenix and floral decoration, rotund body with long tapered neck, 7 x 3-3/4 in.
Provenance: Property from the Thomson House, 5th Avenue, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, built by Thomas Chalmers Darsie; by descent to Anne Darsie Thomson then to Robert Thomson; Gifted 2014 to Chatham University, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

slight wear to bases, pinholes, slight loss to enamel and gilt; brownish red vase with crazing
