Virginia Quam and Loubert Soseeah Zuni Petit Point Turquoise and Sterling Silver Sunface Concho Belt - This beautiful concho belt was made by Zuni silversmiths, Virginia Quam and Loubert Soseeah. The belt is crafted of sterling silver and decorated with petit point turquoise and a coral, mother of pearl, turquoise, and jet Kachina style Sunface in the center of each. The Sunface represents prosperity, happiness, peace, hope, optimism and positive energy. The belt is signed "L. Soseeah", "V. Quam", and "Zuni". This piece comes from a collection which has been housed in a vault for over 40 years. According to our seller, her parents started in the Native American jewelry business in 1972, and the family would travel to the New Mexico Native American reservations and purchase pieces directly from the tribes. They eventually went into the gold jewelry business and have kept these pieces in their private collection for over 40 years. Measurements: 36" length, 1.5" wide. Condition: Overall excellent vintage condition with light signs of wear/patina. (WEIGHT: 158.8 grams)
