Description
Prehistoric, Early Bronze Age hand carved flint stone in orange to beige tones, a Thick-Butted Axe dating from the Dagger period in Denmark circa 2400 to 1000 B.C. with a partially polished body on the half side to the cutting edge. In the late Neolithic period the flintworkers achieved very high technical standards. This large, heavy and in excellent condition Ax from the East coast of Denmark can be included among the finest examples of the flintworkersĂąâŹâą outstanding skills at the end of the Stone Age.
