Description

Early 19th Century Mahogany English Tall Case Clock. The dial with painted moon-phase, painted Angel of Death scene to center with 'TIME IS VALUABLE' in script; the movement with single chime, two weights, pendulum; neoclassical style case. The dial with 'HENRY FISHER PRESTON'. {Approximate dimensions: 92 high x 20 3/4 wide x 10 1/4 inches deep.}. Condition: Has not been tested, working order is not guaranteed. Overall condition good considering age. Some repair and restoration to the case, mainly evident by different ages of screws and nails as well as repair to lifting veneer. Some wear and darkening to painted areas. Provenance: Historic Filoli Estate, Woodside, CA.
