Item Details

Description

Lot of two ribbons from the Volunteer Firemen of New York. The first is from the dedication of Washingtons Monument in 1911. The ribbon was worn by the Uniformed Company of Exempt Firemen. It has a celluloid of Peter Hickey who was Foreman of the Exempt Fire Engine Co. The ribbon is in rough condition. The second is from the 1897 dedication of the monument to President Grant. The ribbon is in good condition with the back of the celluloid being a little light.
