Description
A nice old (ca. 1860s) 12-wire, hollow bracelet bail, brass frame; probably made by D. D. Miller in New York, but not hallmarked. There are a few solder joints that need to be fixed, and one vertical wires is loose but intact. The Sangster plug-in fount shows several vertical stress cracks, but the rest of the lantern appears to be crack free. There is a uniform, tarnished patina over the entire unit. The clear globe has a tight crack. Burner is an old single tube whale oil unit with a snuffer cap. Condition: (Good). Dimensions: 6 - 1/4" x 6 - 1/4" x 13 - 1/4".
