Artist biography: Sage Reynolds is the senior partner of New York's Four Hands Design Studio, which he founded in 1977. He received his BFA from Florida State University and studied printmaking and bookbinding at the Croydon College of Art in England. In 2006, he began studies in silversmithing at the Fashion Institute of Technology. Reynolds' work has been included in several exhibitions and, most recently, he had a large one man show at Wagner College where works in paper, paint, and silver were shown with prints and sculpture from his long career in art. Reynolds was one of the two featured artists in the inaugural exhibition at the Newhouse Center for Contemporary Art at Snug Harbor Cultural Center. He has exhibited at the Nexus Gallery in Philadelphia, the American Textile Museum in Washington, DC, and at the American Craft Museum in New York City. His works are in the collection of the Watson Library at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and his metalwork is for sale in the gift shop at the Jewish Museum. Sage Reynolds and Colman Rutkin are featured in the book Pattern and Flow produced by the Watson Library in the Metropolitan Museum Art, published 2022.
