Important collection of 9 pamphlets on the civil constitution of the clergy, and the status of priests, and 2 manuscripts on religious orders. Paris, 1789-1790, all bound in 1 volume. 8vo. Marbled paper cover. 16 handwritten pages of notes, as well as a loose 4 page letter dated 1769, a copy of the letter sent by Pope Clement 13th to the King of France.
Contains report made on behalf of the ecclesiastical committee, Thursday, December 17, 1789, on religious orders by M. Threilhard [who will contribute to the drafting of the Napoleon code] P. Baudoin 1789, (11 pp. on green paper.) Report made at The National Assembly in the name of the ecclesiastical committee by M. Martineau...on the constitution of the clergy...P. imp. Nat. P.
