Text describing this piece in Red River: 'This the second crucifixion made by Edgar. An earlier version was not as tightly composed and was rudely carved.
This example is extraordinary for its triangularly composed figures.
The Christ is made to feel less rigid and more serene by tilting his head and closing his eyes.'
Exhibited at Folk Art of University of Kentucky 1975.
