Description
Fine Russian silver tea and coffee service set by Sazikov. Including a silver teapot, a silver coffee pot, a silver creamer, a silver sugar lidded bowl and a square bowl. All five pieces are adorned with a finely chased decorative motif. Hallmarks: 'SAZIKOV' in Cyrilic, an assay mark 'N.D.' in Cyrillic over 1835, an 84 Russian silver standard and other Russian hallmarks.

Footnote: Sazikov is a jewelry company founded in 1810 in Moscow, which became famous for its production of jewelry from gold, silver and precious stones. Winner of various awards at international and Russian exhibitions. Supplier to the Court of His Imperial Majesty. One of the first Russian jewelry companies to begin producing items in the Russian style.
