A very good impression with strong colors.Based on the oil painting by Davis (1892-1964) Bass Rocks, No. 1 now in the collection of the Wichita Art Museum. The composition was developed based on observation of an area of the Atlantic coastline between Gloucester and Cape Ann, Massachusetts where Davis' family summered annually. Cole/Myers 23.
