Description

Set of four Napoleon III painted pine chairs, second half 19th century, comprising two armchairs and two side chairs with grey and blue painted frames, having square backs and turned legs, the armchairs are upholstered in patterned floral silk, the side chairs in pink and cream silk striped fabric, stamped TF 7506 and having a de Fontainebleau-Avon paper label with a written 'via Malesherbes' to lower half, on interior seat frame.

Approximate dimensions: armchairs: h. 37", w. 23.625", d. 21.75, seat h. 16.75"; side chairs: h. 36", w. 18.5", d. 17", seat h. 18.125"

Condition

Structurally stable, surface wear to paint including chips, scratches, dents and scuffs, with scattered staining to upholstered side chairs, arm chairs have significant loss of paint to arms and scattered staining.
