Meissen Porcelain Chinoiserie Figure of a Fisherboy and a Standing Figure of a Child
Each with blue crossed sword mark.
The standing figure 5 in. high, the seated figure 3 1/2 in. high.
Note: The standing figure model was conceived by Reinicke for the Hofkonditorei [court confectionary] of Count Heinrich von Brühl in 1743. The seated figure model follows Gabriel Huquier’s engraving ‘Chinois assis et Chinoise portant un poisson’ from the series ‘Scenes de la vie chinoise’ after Francois Boucher.

Condition
Each with minor wear and a few tiny losses. The fisherboy with minor losses to the hair. The standing figure with restoration to the hat. Otherwise in good condition.
