Sewing box in the shape of a table raised on four cabriole legs. It has a drawer in the waist and a folding top. Made of walnut wood, its entire surface is decorated with vegetal marquetry in jacaranda and lemongrass. This type of furniture was considered for centuries to be the most luxurious and valuable pieces of furniture, kept in all collections and noble houses despite changes in fashion, and finally revalued in the 19th century within the context of historicism.
