Group of 4 Georgian South Staffordshire or Battersea hinged cover oval enamel patch/snuff boxes, English, mid to late 18th century. Including: pink base box, lid inscribed 'Remember the Giver', opens to reveal a mirror; gadrooned green base box, lid inscribed 'A Reward for Merit', opens to reveal what once was a mirror; gadrooned periwinkle box, lid inscribed 'We live in Hope' encircling a woman leaning against an anchor next to the sea, ships in the distance; green base box, lid inscribed 'May Charms like thine Be Nill my lot And Love like mine Be ne'er forgot', opens to reveal what once was a mirror. All unmarked, all approximately .75 x 1.75 inches.
Condition
