Chinese Ming Dynasty Ji Blue Glazed Porcelain Gourd Bottle Vase. The porcelain potted in a shape of double gourd bottle vase, with two bulbous bellies conjoined together with hexagonal lower belly, round opening lip, raised on ring hexagonal foot base and slighty concave. All reserved hand painted ornamentations are rendered in masterfully covered in an even coat of a deep blue glaze which terminates at the base to reveal the pure white under glaze. The blue glaze creates a mottled effect around the rim which is likened unto the blushing of human skin. The glaze is lustrous and glittering, giving a sense of fresh and worthy of collection..The underside unglazed, revealed the pale-creme ground revealed and dark greyish brown spotted firing marks and edge-cut foot rim.
