Description
Chinese Jadeite Ornament, probably Qing Dynasty (1644-1912). Two dragons with serpentine bodies are the main motif. The heads form a symmetrical design on the stone that is deftly carved so its domed form is pierced with open work patterns. The jade may have been a buckle ornament or a decorative enhancement for a wooden Ruyi (scepter).
