The six gorgeous rolled ad slicks and four rolled poster proofs offered here feature the title character in a stunning Art Deco image by artist John Mattos in several different color variations, including the final produced versions. This rare grouping provides a fascinating look "behind the scenes" of the process leading to the creation of the well-known promotional material that was ultimately used to advertise this cult classic film.

This is an excellent lot of printing materials, many marked Gore Graphics, used to produce outstanding promotions for this fan-favorite film. All feature the great John Mattos artwork.

Based on the comic book character created by Dave Stevens in 1982 as a homage to the movie serial heroes of the 1930s, 40s, and 50s, this period film takes place in 1938 Los Angeles, where stunt pilot Cliff Secord (Billy Campbell) finds an advanced rocket pack that gives him the power of flight. Although the film underperformed at the box office on its initial release, it quickly developed a devoted following, especially among comic book fans, and remains a fan favorite to this day.
