This poster has had only minor touchups to fold wear and previously had a two-inch tear in the lower center, but now on linen, the poster displays handsomely.

This Romeo and Juliet-inspired tale, set during the Reconstruction era following the Civil War, is about Will Connelly (Robert Young), a young Confederate gentleman from a decaying family line, who falls in love with the beautiful Yankee tobacco farmer Joanna Tate (Janet Gaynor). Stepin Fetchit (aka Lincoln Theodore Monroe Andrew Perry) provides the comic relief, and Shirley Temple makes a very brief uncredited appearance at the end of the film in her fourth screen role (and her first for Twentieth Century Fox, for whom she would make virtually all of her most incredible childhood pictures).
