A PUNCH'ONG PORCELAIN BOTTLE VASE, JOSEON DYNASTY, 15TH-16TH CENTURY
Korea. The vase of pear shape with waisted neck and everted rim, decorated to the exterior with a stamped decoration filled with slip, the hatched design in celadon and cream color, a celadon band around the rim, and a stamped band of blossoms around the foot ring.
Condition: The vase with small chips, minor losses, three repairs to the mouth, and manufacturing flaws including kiln grit, glaze warts, and pitting.
Provenance: Hungarian private collection.
