Description
Moise Kisling, French, Polish, 1891 to 1953, color aquatint on paper print depicting a portrait of Kiki de Montparnasse, or Nu Assis, a French cabaret performer, painter, and artists muse, circa 1925. Signed lower right. Matted and framed. Moise Kisling moved to Paris in 1910 at the age of 19, and became a French citizen in 1915, after serving and being wounded with the French Foreign Legion in World War I. He emigrated to the United States in 1940, after the fall of France, and returned there in 1946. Antique Prints And French Art Collectibles.
