Chinese Qing Dynasty Kangxi Blue and White Porcelain Large Brush Wash Pot. Potted in brush wash pot, globular shaped body, deep curvature, of a deep vessel, round straight upward to form the round opening rim, with round foot base rim. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in white base color which contrast against blue color, depicted of elders seating relax in front of bonfire. A characteristic heaped and piled effect, the under glaze greyish-blue concentrates in certain areas, bubbling through the surface of the glaze and turning a deep blue-black. This inadvertently gave texture, energy, and shading to the design.The Upper base bears a reign mark, a single under glazed blue script characters reign mark. Made in The Years Kangxi Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
