United States Navy brown goatskin leather Type G-1 flight jacket with a fur collar. Features a sewn-in label identifying it as a ‘Jacket, Flying, Man's Intermediate, Type G-1’, manufactured by the Star Sportswear Mfg. Co., marked size 38. The label also bears the designation ‘ML-J-7823D (WP)’, indicating that it was manufactured in 1968. The jacket bears two patch pockets at thefront, closed by flaps and secured by standard buttons. The right-side storm flap bears the punched initials ‘U S N’. The woven cuffs and waist display extensive tears and fraying, and the leather has stiffened with age, else very good.
