Description
(1934 - 2017) Drifter whose 'family' committed the infamous Tate-LaBianca murders in 1969. A.L.S. signed with initials, 2pp. legal folio, [Vacaville, Jan 12, year illegible], to Nuel (‘Mel’) Emmons, Manson’s biographer and co-author of ‘Manson in His Own Words’. Written in Manson’s idiosyncratic prose, in part: ‘…Why don’t you take that money & let your kid buy that land & promis not to cut trees or destroy no wild life in the contrack. He gits the money for down payment for contrack that says no trees cut…I don’t need the the money. I thought of giving it to that place where the monks live & then asking to stay there when & if I’m ever kicked out into that world of yours…you can go ahead and keep money...’. He adds in postscript: ‘ovation stereo head phones with ‘pre amp built in’ are good also for guitars…’. With the original envelope with Emmons’ address in holograph, very good. From the estate of Mel Emmons
