Titled "Miranda Come Take Little Jon and Beckey Down" depicts an older gentleman on the back of a white horse with two young children in front of a cabin where an older woman stands. Ward's works often depict pioneer life and feature the characters Miranda and Hezzakaiah. Her primitive, and sometimes humorous, works have since given her the affectionate title of "Grandma Moses of the Ozarks."
