Eva Fischer, Italian, Italian, 1920 to 2015, a collection of twenty five color and black and white lithographs on paper depicting various scenes with children, cityscapes, and others. Each is signed in pencil, lower right. Several are titled in pencil, lower to the center. Several are numbered in pencil, lower left. Completed with a printed texted by Alberto Baumann, 1933 to 2014, an Italian journalist, writer, painter, and sculptor. Eva Fischer was a Croatia born Italian artist who worked in oils, watercolours, engraving and lithography. She joined a group of artists in Via Margutta, and became a close friend of Giovanni Omiccioli. During the early 50s Eva met Picasso in Luchino Visconti's home, and he encouraged her to continue with her landscape work and to also include architecture from southern Italy. Soon after this period Eva transferred her work to Madrid where she also took active part in the debates of Juana Mordos Atelier in the fight against Franco's fascism. In the 60s Fischer exhibited her work in London in Lefevres Gallery, then in Israel and the United States. Vintage and Modern European Graphic Art Prints and Collectibles.
