Extra fancy grade Model 1860 US Staff & Field officers sword, gilt metal hilt, with cast pommel, knuckle guard, eagle and shield guard, folding counter guard. Shagreen and wire grip. Henderson Ames marked German import 29.75" blade, etched with presentation to "W. E. Stower from the Cadets of M.M.A" . Metal scabbard with gilt mounts. Overall 37.5" in scabbard. Condition: Surface rust to tip and at ricasso of blade, uneven finish to scabbard. counter guard button stuck closed.
