ENGLISH FREE-BLOWN BLACK GLASS ONION / UTILITY BOTTLE, very dark olive green/black, full size, wide compressed "pancake" form with inwardly tapering short neck and crude applied bladed ring/collar below the straight mouth, kicked-up base with wide sand pontil scar. 1705-1720. 5 3/4" H.

Condition
Very good condition with one wide chip to collar, a few other flakes and shallow losses to collar elsewhere, routine surface scratching. Excavated and patinated surface with dull overall haze, light etching and wear/degradation, and rainbow discoloration especially to interior; a rough "V" shaped gap to upper edge of mouth, almost certainly as made.
