Description
1889 SLAVERY 1ed Appeal to Pharaoh Confederate McKinley RACISM Black America

Carlyle McKinley was a late 19th-century Confederate soldier, though he is only remembered for his controversial and racist essays and articles. McKinley viewed black Americans, free or slaved or otherwise, as offensive to whites. In fact, he pressured America to expatriate all blacks referring to them as “negro problems”. In his book An Appeal to Pharaoh”, McKinley argues for the complete removal of blacks from America.
