Description
1861 William Wilberforce Enormity of SLAVE TRADE Abolition Bill America RARE

William Wilberforce was an 18th-century British politician who is best remembered for his role in helping abolish slave trade in the western world. His campaign to abolish slavery led to the Slavery Abolition Act in 1833, which inspired author Thomas Price to publish a memoir highlighting Wilberforces role in the slavery abolition.

This anonymously printed edition of Wilberforces “Enormity of the Slave Trade” was published by the American Tract Society and features Wilberforces anti-slavery speeches. Perhaps the most important inclusion in this work is the printing of the United States Bill passed which abolished slave trade.
