Primitive miniature blanket box in original dark green paint, dovetailed constructed, with molded edge along base. Old decoupage attached to front and 1 side. Crack in top, worn paint, overall fair to good condition. Early 19th century. Measures 15 1/8" x 8 1/8" x 7 1/8". Provenance: From the Thomas & Gail Rockwell collection, LaGrangeville NY. Tom is the son of the renowned American artist, Norman Rockwell and the author or many children's books. His late wife Gail, was an artist-illustrator and the daughter of Arthur E. Sudler and Janet Whitson Sudler, both early 20th century artists - she illustrated several of her husband's children's books.
